This will be our third Taylor workshop and her discography is so huge, we still won't have any repeat songs! We'll strum and pick along to a variety of Swift jams, including brand new tunes from "The Tortured Poet's Department." The point is to have fun, shake it off, and gather some guitar techniques for your own playing. We'll talk about strumming techniques and patterns, fingerstyle form and patterns, capo theory, and how to make your playing more dynamic and interesting through the lens of some of the catchiest songs on the planet.

Prerequisites: Students should know basic guitar chord shapes like G, C, D, A, E, am, and em. This workshop is ideal for any students from the Beginner II level and up. A PDF packet will be provided ahead of time, please bring your tablets to follow along. If you need Jana to bring you a printed packet, please bring $5 for class for printing fees.
